FarmAbility is thrilled to be the chosen charity for the SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials 2019!

FarmAbility is thrilled and very proud to be the chosen charity of the SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials 2019. Being involved in this way with such a prestigious event is a fantastic opportunity for FarmAbility, and we’re looking forward to meeting event goers and to being part of the excitement in September.

Given our mission is to enable co-farmers to engage in a rich range of outdoor purposeful activities, we’re excited that in the run-up to the Horse Trials, co-farmers will be assisting the events team in erecting fences and arenas and helping with other practical tasks. This will build on our growing relationship with the friendly Rural Team at the Blenheim Estate where co-farmers have been welcomed since November last year.

“There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man” Winston Churchill

While our three FarmAbility horses won’t win prizes for show jumping or dressage, they all have a gold medal in helping co-farmers to reduce anxiety levels, build confidence and skills, and contribute in a meaningful way to the welfare of our four-legged friends. Horse care and equine therapy sessions are very popular at FarmAbility, facilitated by our fantastic volunteers.

We’re hoping that Marlene, our miniature Shetland pony, might even make it to the event herself – if you’re there in September come and find her at the FarmAbility area!

We’re really grateful to the team at Blenheim Horse for choosing us this year and we wish all event visitors a really fantastic day out!

The SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials 19th – 22nd September 2019

It’s not just a horse trials…. it’s a great day out with friends and family!

The SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials is now firmly established in the eventing calendar. Returning for its 29th year, it attracts the world’s best riders and thousands of spectators who come to watch the thrills and spills over the four days.

The first two days of the event will consist of dressage competitions, with the weekend hosting cross-country and show jumping.

There is much to do on all days in addition to the showcase eventing classes, such as complimentary displays and demonstrations, competitions for grassroots riders, a fun ride and of course a plethora of over 200 shops, food outlets, bars and entertainments, all within the magnificent grounds of Blenheim Palace.

Blenheim’s unique shopping experience is one of the many highlights of the event each year. The layout resembles that of an old-fashioned high street lined with a wide selection of unique retail offerings, providing a huge variety of carefully selected trade stands.

Ranging from luxury picnic hampers to country tailors, there is an extensive array of shops offering high quality goods, rural crafts, bespoke garden furniture, clothing and every gift idea under the sun for you, your pets or your home – perfect for some personal retail therapy or for starting your Christmas shopping!

We recommend booking in advance for this event as discounts apply to most ticket options and this will speed up your access to the event. Children 12 years of age and under can enter the event for FREE when accompanied by an adult.
